About the Company
London-based tech start-up in the process of bringing its first-generation product to manufacture, with generation two in the early stages of development, looking for a talented Industrial Designer to form part of their bold plan to double headcount by 2019-year end. Exciting project developing the world's first Augmented Reality (AR) Head Mounted Display (HMD) for the construction industry that can eliminate 2D plans.
Working with the Design Director, you will be designing and developing state-of-the-art computer vision solutions for scene analysis, object detection, tracking, and rendering optimisation. This is a hands-on role, predominantly CAD based, taking designs from concept through to production. The role will make use of their in-house prototyping facility allowing for quick design iteration and concept testing before implementing functional, premium design solutions. Collaboration between electronics hardware and software teams will be a part of your day to day work.
Skills and Experience
You will ideally come from an in-house background where you will have experienced the whole development process, from concept to commercial production. You will be able to demonstrate whole project/product experience where you have worked on a major aspect of/the whole product, rather than a small component part.
* BA or BSC in Product Design (at least 2-1 or equivalent)
* 3+ years of credible industry experience, preferably in the consumer product sector
* 3+ years experience in SolidWorks
* Experience seeing project through the entire design process from concept to production
